The mandate of the Museum Services is to manage all administrative, management, and public services necessary for the effective and efficient delivery of corporate programmes and activities by :
- providing a full range of financial and administrative services and advice to management;
- providing corporate information technology direction, policy, standard setting, and maintenance of the corporate information technology infrastructure and foundation;
- providing professional and technical services, advice, direction and control in the areas of property and facilities planning and management, health, safety, fire and security services;
- providing and managing client services to reflect the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum client-oriented approach including but not limited to hosting/guide, group reservation and box office;
- providing and managing a range of user pay facilities and services including but not limited to food services, facilities rental services and parking;
- managing commercial operations including Boutiques and the marketing of the IMAX film program;
- initiating and implementing advertising campaigns and advising on marketing approaches to attract visitors, and targeted publics
