School Programs Brochure 2009-2010

Welcome

The Canadian Museum of Civilization offers meaningful learning experiences for students from preschool through high school. Our programs are designed to support teachers in their efforts to provide skill-building, problem-solving and creative learning opportunities, and closely match Ontario and Quebec curricula in the areas of social studies, history and geography.

In addition to its many permanent and special exhibitions, the Canadian Museum of Civilization is home to the Canadian Children's Museum, the Canadian Postal Museum, and an IMAX ® Theatre. Our wide range of world-class attractions enables us to offer you a broad selection of programs tailored to meet your needs and those of your students.

Please note that, due to the labour dispute that ended on December 16, we were unable to launch a comprehensive school program in September, as we normally do each year. Instead, we are offering a limited program for the current school year, and our two museums are open and looking forward to welcoming your students to visit our exhibitions, and to participate in the many ongoing activities and programs that are listed on our website.

The Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum will be back again next September, with a new and exciting program of activities for students of all ages.
