Figure of Kuksdedalreh

Photograph: Merle Toole Photograph: Steven Darby Kuksdedalreh (meaning "talking to self") was the head of a sub-division in the Fireweed (Ksrarom-larhae) clan. The pole was erected in commemoration of Kuksdedalreh and the first Sgogomlaxe (meaning "first of above"). The pictorial representation of a person to whose memory a pole is dedicated is seen only on this pole and one other (Neetuh of Gitsegukla) in the Skeena area.
