Moth has the face of a human being but has wings. Moths are usually
shown with a hooked beak (seen in the side profile of this
figure). The moth figures on this pole are likely figures in a
state of transition from human to moth. The Moth or Winged Person in
this figure is holding a child, whose face has now been restored.
