The kakaki is an end-blown horn with one or
two bells that can reach a length of three metres. It is made of tinplate and
has two sections that fit into each other. The instrument produces only two
sounds, which form a fifth. It accompanies the ensembles that are at the
service of dignitaries, district chiefs or sultans. The kakaki is
found in several Islamized countries, including Chad, Nigeria and Cameroon.
