Criteria

• Photos must illustrate the close bond between humans and horses
• Only one photo will be accepted from each participant
• Participants must be aged 18 or older on the day of submission

Theme

• The photo must represent the close relationship between humans and horses

Photo format

• Digital image, jpeg format
• At least 300 dpi
• Black & white, or colour
• Should not exceed 4 MB
• Portrait or landscape orientation is accepted

How to submit your photo

• Send your photo by email to horse@civilization.ca.
• When submitting the photo, send it as an attachment. Do not embed your photo in the email
• When submitting your photo, please include:
• your email address
• your first name
• your city, province/state and country

How your photo will be used

• Your photo will run in a loop on a television monitor that will be mounted on the wall outside the exhibition, inside the Canadian Museum of Civilization. We will also include your first name, city, province/state and country in a caption underneath your photo
• The presentation will be updated every week. Your photo will not be presented every day but will be included periodically in the presentation throughout the duration of the exhibition

When can you submit your photo?

• Photo submissions will be accepted until September 1, 2010

Rules

• By submitting your photo, you warrant that the submitted photo does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person
• By submitting your photo, you acknowledge that any persons appearing in the submitted photograph have given the sender consent for reproduction and promotional use
• By submitting your photo, you are allowing the Canadian Museum of Civilization to use this photo as part of the exhibition and in any other promotional tool related to the exhibition
• It is understood that the Canadian Museum of Civilization does not have exclusive rights to the photos that are submitted
• The Museum does not have an obligation to display the photo submitted by you, and reserves the right to reject photos that do not reflect the theme of the exhibition or that contain inappropriate content
• Your email address will not be disclosed
• By submitting your photo, you are agreeing to all rules.
