The proposed person must be deceased for at least five years.
There must be sufficient historical, ethnographic and archaeological sources documenting the person and his/her impact.
The person must have been unique in Canadian history.
The person must have had a significant impact — in scope and duration — on Canada and its inhabitants, either in his/her own lifetime or after death.
The person’s impact is felt at a pan-Canadian level or internationally.
The person fits well in the exhibition’s thematic grouping and can be cross-referenced to other biographies
on display.
