Many Canadian golf professionals designed golf courses as well as golf clubs. One of the best-known and most prolific architects of golf, Stanley Thompson, designed 80 Canadian golf courses from Nova Scotia to British Columbia between 1921 and 1949. Among his greatest triumphs are the courses at Jasper Park and Banff Springs in the Canadian Rockies.
