Lifelines aims to foster an
understanding of the importance of the fisheries to Atlantic
Canadians and the rest of the country. It links different time
periods, ethnic communities, fish harvesting, modes of life and
uses of technology. We hope it will inform you and promote
thoughtful reflection about our stewardship of an important
resource.
On May 1, 2002, the Canadian Museums Association presented an
Outstanding Achievement Award to the institutions that developed
the exhibition Lifelines: Canada's East
Coast Fisheries presented at the Canadian Museum of
Civilization from April 2001 to February 2002.
