A Taste of the Wildcat

Gather ’round Yellowknife’s Wildcat Café for some funny, heart-warming Northern tales told in the Museum’s replica of the iconic log cabin restaurant.

Since 1937, the Wildcat Café has been a beloved symbol of Yellowknife’s extraordinary community and frontier spirit.  The iconic log cabin restaurant is the perfect setting to enjoy funny, heart-warming and engaging reflections on the unique characters and stories of the North: tales of how gold was struck, hearts broken, families torn apart, and how in this sometimes harsh climate one can find freedom and friendship from the unlikeliest of encounters.

A Taste of the Wildcat takes you into the heart of the North in a replica of the Wildcat Café at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
