Japanese Instrumental Music Concert

Japanese Instrumental Music Concert

The Koto players, a duo performing Japanese classics on 13-stringed traditional instruments, will present a concert of contemporary music incorporating bamboo flute and percussion musicians.

This concert, tailor-made for their Canadian tour, depicts the rich Japanese musical heritage defined by creative innovation and history.

Musicians Ai Kajigano and Tsugumi Yamamoto perform as the duo KOTO Players; they will be accompanied on bamboo flute by Akihito Obama and traditional percussion by Makoto Yamamoto.
