Out of the Depths—Remembering the Canadian Passengers of the Titanic

Out of the Depths—Remembering the Canadian Passengers of the Titanic

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic—an event that continues to capture the imagination to this day, inspiring films, plays, fashion and music.

Join us for an insightful lecture about why the ship’s fateful maiden voyage has lived on in pop culture for generations. Titanic expert Jason Tiller will explore this phenomenon, as well as the ship’s physical and social history, and the personal and sometimes scandalous stories of Canadians who either survived or perished in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic a century ago.
