This exhibition will focus on the many roles played by different ethnic and social groups in the North West Company. Upon entering the exhibition space, visitors will be invited to embark on a journey of discovery and to meet the men and women of the early Canadian fur trade. Visitors will be engaged by the excitement and romance of the fur trade, through the vibrant lives of its different characters.
Content :
More than 50 period artifacts will be displayed, including trade items, personal items, period clothing and documents. Props such as bales and barrels will create a period atmosphere.
