On Christmas 2003, Pasquale Scaturro and his team set out to become the first to complete a full descent of the world's greatest river: the combined Blue Nile and White Nile, from source to sea. Four months later, they reached the mouth of the Nile at the Mediterranean Sea, becoming the first men in history to complete this 5,230-kilometre journey.
