September 6, 2004 to January 3, 2005
The Drents Museum is one of the most popular museums in the
northern Netherlands, attracting 70,000 visitors annually. Its
mission is simple: to please the public. This seems quite
obvious, but it is rather surprising for a museum with such a
long history. Although famous as an archaeological museum,
founded in 1854, the Drents Museum now has very diverse
collections.
