Gatineau, Quebec, August 22, 2006 — Monday September 4, 2006 is the last date to see two special exhibitions, Postage Stamps: Image of a Country and Collector’s Corner: Artpost, at the Canadian Postal Museum located in the Canadian Museum of Civilization.Postage Stamps: Image of a country focuses on the special power of postage stamps to portray our national history. This exhibition presents a dazzling display of Canadian stamps released between 1997 and 2004 — many of them masterpieces of portraiture, photography, colour and design.
Tour the world with Collector’s Corner: Artpost, an exhibition of a collection of hand-drawn images on postal envelopes that document exotic places visited by the artist, Paul Gray.
