New Appointment to Board of Trustees of the
Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation
Gatineau, Quebec, May 20, 2008 — The Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation (CMCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of André E. Audet to Vice-Chair of the Corporation’s Board of Trustees.
Mr. Audet is co-founder and president of Capda Capital Corporation and co-founder of Brome Financial Corporation, two firms specializing in venture capital. He is currently a member of the Investment Committee of Novacap I and II, and is chairman of the board of HLT Energies. Among many other achievements, Mr. Audet served for more than 20 years as vice-president and administrator for Montreal’s Théâtre de Quat’Sous, and is a former president of the Investment Committee of the Canada Council for the Arts.
The 11 members of the CMCC’s Board of Trustees are appointed by the Governor-in-Council to part-time positions, and they represent different regions of Canada.
Mr. Audet’s appointment to the CMCC’s Board was originally announced by the Honourable Josée Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages.
