The Canadian Children’s Museum celebrates Black History Month

Gatineau, Quebec, February 14, 2007 — Come celebrate Black History Month at the Canadian Children’s Museum, located in the Canadian Museum of Civilization. On February 24 and 25, create your own rhythms in a djembe workshop. The djembe is a popular West African skin-covered hand drum, shaped like a large goblet, and meant to be played with bare hands. You can then head to the Studio to make a galimoto, an African toy made from wire and other recycled materials.
