The Lost City of Stone comes alive at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, May 18, 2006PETRA: Lost City of Stone comes alive for an exotic evening filled with music, dance, mosaic-making demonstrations and finger foods.

The evening will begin with a visit of PETRA: Lost City of Stone, where experts will be on hand to answer questions about the exhibition. The fun will continue with a mosaic demonstration by Gerry Lavery, belly dancing by Arianne Monfils, and the music of the oud, a guitar-like string instrument, played by John Shadeed. The evening’s performances, spiced with bright colours and joyful music, will take you on a journey through the rich culture and traditions of the Middle East. Also, come tantalize your taste buds with a selection of Middle Eastern treats!
