Iroquoian Ceramic Pot

The St. Lawrence Iroquoians were one of the aboriginal nations of the St. Lawrence Valley. They met explorer Jacques Cartier in the 1530s but had disappeared entirely by the early 1600s, when the area was next visited by Samuel de Champlain. This rare, complete St. Lawrence Iroquoian ceramic pot would have been used for cooking food.
