The 3rd floor, when redone, should start at the front of the building instead of at the back. It’s very confusing at the moment.

From across the border in New York State we love the Canadian Museum of Civilization and have been members for many years. We have watched the Canadian history exhibit grow bit by bit over the years and it is wonderful. We have, however, also enjoyed the extra exhibits such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Kimono exhibit from years ago, etc. and feel that these exhibits are an extra membersip bonus. Most of your visitors, most probably, would never have had a chance to see them.

Providing access to people with special needs is not mentioned and is an important consideration!

I come to see objects, interesting and real objects. I want to see the colour, the texture, the sensory that objects can provide. Things people made and things that inspire us to create for our own needs.

I’d bring my Air cadet group to take a guided tour of the museum, or particular galleries like the Canada gallery. I think there’s lots that youth can get out of the visit if the tour is well-facilitated.

I would like to visit the areas where all of the artefacts are kept, and to be able to see some that are not on display.
