It is possible to hold your wedding ceremony either at the Canadian Museum of Civilization or at the Canadian War Museum. It will be your responsibility, however, to find someone to officiate at your wedding.
There are certain rooms that can be used only after the Museums’ regular closing time, which is 6 p.m. during the summer and 5 p.m. during the winter.
The following spaces can be rented during the Museums’ regular business hours:

- Make an appointment to visit venues with a Facility Rentals Sales Executive
- Have a venue put on hold for you
- Make an appointment to discuss menus with Gourmet Cuisine Catering Coordinator
- Review, sign and return the facility rental agreement along with the deposit
- Review, sign and return the catering agreement along with the deposit
- Receive an invitation for a food-tasting event
- Attend the food-tasting event
- Choose the final menu and discuss details
- Meet with the Museum Production Coordinator eight weeks prior to your event
- Ask for a technical quote
- Pay your 50-percent deposit for catering one month prior to your event
- Pay the facility rental balance and technical estimate two weeks prior to your event
- Pay the balance for catering 72 hours prior to your event

Taking wedding photos at the Museums
Wedding photos may be taken at the Museums during regular Museum hours.
The fee for indoor photos is $25 and is payable at the Museum Box Office. Photos must be taken during Museum business hours, and must not interfere with Museum operations. Advance reservations are not required. This privilege is available to the wedding party only, maximum of 20 guests. Additional guests must pay admission to the Museum. Outdoor photos are free.
On-camera flash only. Tripods and lighting stands prohibited.
