Ms. Hall’s current research covers a range of ethnographic contexts for the Museum’s Great Lakes and Arctic collections. She is especially interested in the history and development of the Museum’s ethnographic collection, and is a published author on the subject. Ms. Hall has worked extensively with members of First Nations and Inuit communities on research and exhibition projects (particularly Arctic clothing and Great Lakes quillwork), and on issues concerning the proper care and management of the collections.

Ms. Hall began working for the Museum and its predecessor, the National Museum of Man, in 1976. Previously, she worked at the Inuit Art Section of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and Library and Archives Canada, and was Curator of Art at Riveredge Foundation (now part of the Glenbow Museum) in Calgary. From 2004 to 2006, she researched the circumpolar Arctic collections at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, England.
