Karen Albright Murchison

Ms. Albright Murchison conducts research on the Museum’s archaeology collections and related archival documentation. She compiles files and reports on the Museum’s holdings in support of treaty negotiations, and answers information requests for British Columbia and the B.C. transboundary areas.

Ms. Albright Murchison has a B.A. (Honours) in Anthropology and Archaeology from Trent University. She has more than thirty years of work experience, both with cultural organizations and private industry, including more than twenty years at the Museum. She has designed and produced websites, including the Museum’s web feature The Inuvialuit of the Western Arctic (text by Dr. David Morrison). She has also authored an online teacher resource—What’s a Whatzit?—about artifacts from Canada’s West Coast.
