Kelly Cameron

With a diploma in Museum Studies from Algonquin College, Ms. Cameron began her career at the Museum in 1991, by co-ordinating the move of the Ethnology collections from various locations to the newly built Museum in Gatineau. Ms. Cameron researches the Ethnology collections and related archival documentation. She produces reports on the Museum’s holdings in support of ongoing treaty negotiations and repatriation discussions, and responds to general information requests about Ethnographic artefacts. Ms. Cameron is also involved in storage management, exhibitions, loans, acquisitions and documentation. She facilitates visits of First Nations groups to the Ethnology collections, and has played a major role in the sacred materials project and the development of storage and handling practices.
